Waikiki Parc

This was our third stay at Waikiki Parc, and once again they did not disappoint.

When we arrived early to the hotel (bare in mind that the direct flight from Melbourne arrives at 6am local time), reception staff were able to shuffle a few rooms around, enabling us to have an immediate check in.

When we make our hotel booking, we always ensure that we pre-book breakfast. I know there are many travellers who like to try different places when travelling, but we like the convenience of breakfast on site each day, especially when travelling with young children.

The staff at breakfast were as friendly as ever, and a few remembered us from our previous stays. Breakfast is buffet style, however there is an omlet and pancake station if you prefer something cooked to order.

Laundry facilities are available on  the 8th floor – US$2 per load payable in Quarters which are available from the coin machine or easily at the hotel reception.

Looking forward to another stay in July/August this year.

Note: Waikiki Parc is closing for approximately 12 months from the end of September for major renovations. Make sure you book now to experience the hotel before they close.

Jetstar Flight

We couldn’t really fault the flight to Hawaii, however on the return flight, food options were significantly reduced. According to the hostess, the airline no longer re-stocks in Hawaii, so homeward passengers get whatever is left over from the inbound flight.

We’ve never experienced this issue before, but will ensure we bring an adequate supply of snacks with us on our next trip.

Note: Keep an eye out on Jetstar sales. We booked our July trip during  the last ‘return home for free’ sale for only $1100 for 3 passengers, 40kg of luggage and entertainment.

Waikele Premium Outlets.

Who can resist a sale? Definitely not me!!

Make sure you have Waikiki Premium Outlets (easily accessible via Roberts Waikiki) and grab bargains from stores such as Kate Spade New York, Tommy Hilfiger, Gymboree, Carters, plus many more.
